General Conclusion
The Brief History of Artificial Intelligence has taken us through the ages and across continents, revealing that the dream of creating thinking beings is as old as human civilization itself.
From the first notches on the Ishango bone to the most sophisticated neural networks, the same quest spans millennia: understanding what intelligence is and attempting to reproduce it.
This history teaches us humility. We are not the first to dream of thinking machines, and we will probably not be the last. But we may have, for the first time in human history, the means to realize this ancestral dream.
The question before us is no longer "can we create artificial intelligence?" but "what artificial intelligence do we want to create, and for what kind of world?" The answers we provide to these questions will determine not only the future of technology, but that of humanity as a whole.
